FAQ

How can the Eppic Index help me?
This Index offers unprecedented opportunities from personal to corporate and research libraries to have a one-source compilation of articles from a collection of technical journals. This compilation opens the journals up for reuse and reference versus “read and forget” one-time use.

How can logos be at such low a price compared to other indexes?
Eppic Index was started as a small business (and plans to remain small), uses low-cost, mass-market methods, does not have (or plan to have) high overhead, and does not engage in high – risk practices or transactions.

How were environmental and alternative energy journals and conference proceedings selected for the Index?
Most commonly available journals / conferences were a first priority, topical content / subject material a second priority, and peripheral appeals (e.g., legal, toxicology, bio-concentration, journalistic, historic, etc) were a third priority. In 2009 we expanded to include alternative energy and some international journals we considered useful to subscribers and in 2010 added leading Environmental Health. Occupational Health, Safety, and Emergency Management Journals & Conferences.

Is a scientific, technical or specialty background required to use this Index?
No, anyone can easily go to article titles for general information. Understanding many articles / papers may, however, be easier with a scientific background.

Is the Index easy to use?
Yes, we have tried for the ultimate in ease of use to encourage use of an online format. Familiarization with sources, classification methods, corollary sourcing, etc will improve with use much as improvement occurs with use of a computer.

Is this a specialized Index?
No, it is very generally formatted to appeal to many interests and user groups ( i.e., application, research, students, technical, non-technical, legal, professional, and many others).

Some research and international journals are missing. Why?
Highly specialized journals beyond the interest of a variable and general readership are best left to specialty organizations, indexes and sources.

Will individuals and organizations not environmental in nature have interest in this Index?
